KODAIKANAL?? NO,OOTY !!!

This is probably the longest gap between 2 posts. Sounds bad, but can't help it. been through a turmoil and somehow i managed to bring in some stability in my life. This morning i swore to myself that i'm gonna sit and make some posts. There are lot f stuffs that i need to post about. If i had to write about this trip to ooty life a month ago or something, i swear it would have been more interesting. But now, i think i'm lazy enough to save a dive into the depth of my memories. Ok, now i'll shut up and start with the story.

I dont really remember what day it was. satruday i think. The big day. We had planned to go to kodaikanal, but then changed our mind to Ooty and then back to Kodai. The night before i was browsing looking for all worth visiting places in kodaikanal.. stuffs to do nall.. after transferring some webpages to my phone, i packed my bag, put my phone in charge and went to sleep.. next morning vous came to my place to pick me up in qualis. ya, we went to ooty in that qualis. after putting my bag into the car, we started. i was really excited, cos this was gonna be a long trip with friends. That does not happen to my much. So just to fire up a conversation, i asked how much time will it take to reach kodai?? vous said that are going to Ooty. alright, that wasn't what i wanted to hear. but who cares. life was hectic. i needed a break. we went to pickup kaka and then hemanth. too bad that nari missed out all the fun.. and so, we hit the road to.. somewhere.. i dono the route nall. we stopped at a motel called adhinatha at 9:54 for breakfast. Thx to hema for the precise timing. he kept telling me jot down the place and time nall.. i'v got that note opened right now in my phone. the next line says "Natarampalli ..12.30..Pissing"..at 2 sharp we were at..wait, need to take a peek at my phone.. ya 'Dharmapuri'... (reminds me of my hi school chemistry teacher..we used to call him this..lolz).. we had lunch there. we bought some mags.. it was so much fun. best friends. long trip. we seemed to be having shitload of fun. at 3:49, we were in middle of the bridge at metur dam. awesome view. the trees were like the kind u c in the old DOS version of lionking. chance e illa.. when ever a car would pass, the whole bridge would shake. Moving on, we stopped at couple of places for piss and petrol. apart than that, it was just out car, straight road and greenery all around.. i peronally dont like going out in broad daylight. my timing is 6pm to 3am.. thats my fav part of usuall 24hrs.. and thankfully, adhering to my liking, we reached Metupalayam at 6.31. it was sooooo nice.. sun set. just a couple of shops. Blackthunder entrance and a decent looking tea shop. all of had tea there. i would have skipped this but i can't help it. It was 100 times better than the tea that we drink here in chennai t shops.. just 5 mins from Tea Point, we reached Anni bridge and the climb began.. The view was amazing. I don't remember when we reached Ooty, apparently i didn't note it down.. but im sure it was around 9 or 10. we had to hunt for a good room. some places were dirty, some looked like "mental hospital" as vous put it.. lolz. finally we found one decent looking room. We had dinner in a near by hotel and went to sleep.

Next morning i woke up at around 9. When we came to out room last night, it was totally dark out side.. just the street lights and some near by buildings had lights.. this morning when i opened the door, i was like, wooooow.. in just couple f hours, all of were ready to leave. thats when that cottage guy told we had to change out room. we packed up everything and moved to a new room. just 5 drive, a lil higher grounds than out current room. it was better that the one we had. we dumped out stuffs in there. had breakfast and left to this place called Doddubeta. reached there at 12.30. it was pretty cool.. every moment the climate would change. i'd be foggy and in next 5 mins, u'll feel the sun burning your skin. what can i say abt this.. scenic beauty. typical ooty.. i can't recollect when this happened, but my note says "lunch..2:56..Natarampalli".. after lunch we hit the boat house. we took a 4 seater boat. me and vous were the one peddling. hema and kaka were chumma sitting making fun of us.. screw u guys.. we had a great time there. singing songs, hitting other boats in the water.. we went to the other end of the shore and our boat got stuck in the mud..hahaha.. some one got down and pushed it back into the water..lolzzz. after getting off the boat, we took some pics with out lifejackets nall..was sort f cool..according to my notes, we left the boathouse at 5. I think we went to a random place while on our way back. random place as in, there was a small diversion, and no one seemed to be heading that way. so we did.. it was quite and beautiful. Even better, it was raining. My note does not speak of anything else that we did that day.. we went to our room. we ordered out housekeeping guy to get some dinner. gosh!! wat a big mistake. brought all crappy food items. that guy was a Nepali. Hema seemed to be very interested in that guy's son, a cute lookin fella . I think his name was Lal sing song. ("sing song" hahaha.. no disrespect.. ).. we had our dinner and put the day to end.

next morning we headed to botanical garden and rose garden. i have to say this. BORINGGGGG... roses.. flowers.. not my thing. then we headed to some falls. i don't remember the name. i expected to see some falls. but it was just some normal flowing river. falling to a lower ground at a certain point, may b thats y it was called a 'falls'.. but it was nice.. surely better than botanical garden and rose garden. vous hemant and our driver had a stupid stone throwing competition. after spending time there, we went to some shooting spot. obviously. breathtaking view. thank god i atleast had my phone with me. took lota pics. then we came back to our room. One thing that i enjoyed a lot through out the trip was the hot water bath at the beginning and end of the day. daaaaaamn.. felt soooooo nice.. that night we had no cable connection, so no TV. we took the time to write a song for our friend nari. it was soooo damn hilarious. to bad we never recorded the song.

wait, i think i missed out something.. we went to another place somewhere.. some small hill sort f place. may b the day before this i think.nyway..

next morning there was no water. so we had to shift to another room, just to get ready and packup. it was our last day. room was pretty much the same. we got ready and left. did we stop anywhere?? i dont remember. the next big place we stopped was blackthunder, in front of the tea point i mentioned earlier. had a brilliant time in BT. kaka almost drowned. but the best part was when vous jumped into the water with the phone in his pocket and wrecked it. hehehe.. my fav ride was the lazy river :D...before leaving, we went to the games area.. or wtever its called. there, we had a small basketball thingy. we'd get small ticket sort f thing for each basket we score. if we cud get 20 or some tickets, we'd get a surprise gift. instead of actually basketting the ball, me and hema were collecting tickets thrown all over the floor. hema or kaka, i dont remember, even stole some tickets from a small kid while his dad was throwing the ball..lolzzz.. but the point is we got our surprise gift. A plastic scale and a whistle. oh shit. hema ku won't stop blowing it. it tore me eardrums. we spent our night in darmapuri. next morning, had breakfast in the same hotel. at this point i really started feeling home sick. lunch in the motel that we had breakfast when we started. we even sat in the very same place. by 4 or 5 pm i think i was in my home. and glad.
